Keratin treatments are awesome.
In Australia Keratin Treatments are regulated by the TGA (therapeutic goods association)
Australia Does not allow any keratin treatment to contain:
Formaldehyde or Polypropylene Glycol. (these ingredients are banned in Australia when mixed in a keratin treatment)
The best results are on those clients who’s hair is more expanded or wide looking in its natural state, The treatment really enables these people to wear a haircut where they can actually see the shape and texture that a great haircut can give.
Please be careful about those treatments that give curly hair a straight result.
Keratin Treatments are not straightening treatments, true keratin will only smooth the surface of the hair.
If your treatment is giving a straight result it may not be a keratin, talk to your stylist make sure you know the brand of treatment that they are using so if you have any doubts you can contact the company directly.
I would always go for the recommended home hair care after receiving a keratin treatment in salon.
Why?…. Because these products will have the same ingredient’s that the treatment has used in your service and the salon will be able to guarantee your results.
