On several occasions, my boss has asked me to be the representative in important meetings with high-up executives, so my hair has to look good.<\/p>\n<p>Despite all my efforts, <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>I haven\u2019t been able to get my hair looking good after dyeing it, <\/strong><\/span>which quickly brought me back to the hair salon.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"su-list milista\" style=\"margin-left:0px\">\n<ul>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> I incorporated deep-conditioning treatments for my hair, and that didn\u2019t work.\u00a0It seemed like my hair got used to the product, and after a short period of time, it would go back to <a href=\"https:\/\/botoxcapilar.org\/en\/aloe-vera-leave-in-conditioner\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">looking dry and dull<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> I stopped washing my hair every day, since many people say that that tends to dry it out.<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> I stopped straightening it.<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> I bought expensive hair products.<\/div><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And even after all of that, my hair still looked lifeless just a few days after dyeing it.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I want to clarify that I don\u2019t live in a lamp like the genie in Aladdin.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m one of those people that is constantly reading about the latest trends in hair beauty.<\/p>\n<span class=\"su-highlight\" style=\"background:#ffb5e8;color:#000000\">&nbsp;But the truth is, I had never heard about the advantages of using coconut oil on dyed hair.&nbsp;<\/span>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I knew that it was used as a body moisturizer, to prevent stretch marks and even to moisturize dry lips.<\/p>\n<p>But using coconut oil on my colored hair so that it would look better was something I had never heard of.<\/p>\n<p>So, I decided to try it.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I didn\u2019t really have much to lose.<\/p>\n<p>Now I\u2019ll tell you how it went for me with the coconut oil.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>How to apply coconut oil to your hair<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-12875\" src=\"https:\/\/botoxcapilar.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/aceite-de-coco.jpg\" alt=\"application on dyed hair\" width=\"510\" height=\"510\" srcset=\"https:\/\/botoxcapilar.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/aceite-de-coco.jpg 510w, https:\/\/botoxcapilar.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/aceite-de-coco-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/botoxcapilar.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/aceite-de-coco-300x300.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 510px) 100vw, 510px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I personally get my coloring done at the salon.<\/p>\n<p>Because it has been a complete and total disaster to do it myself.<\/p>\n<p>I should acknowledge that my hair was deeply grateful for that decision.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, the procedure is the same whether you dye your hair at home or at the salon.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>My personal step-by-step approach to applying coconut oil to my hair is the following:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>After rinsing out all the leftover dye, I don\u2019t dry my hair.<\/li>\n<li>I take a hefty portion of coconut oil into my hand \u2013 remember that the kind that isn\u2019t refined has a solid consistency, but with the heat from your hands, it softens right away.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.curlynikki.com\/2013\/12\/detangling-your-natural-hair.html\">I carefully detangle my hair<\/a> and start to distribute the coconut oil gently throughout my hair.<\/li>\n<li>Once my hair is well-covered with the product, I put on a shower cap and let it sit for three hours.<\/li>\n<li>After washing my hair with my regular shampoo, I rinse it really well with cold water. Money and time, time that I use for more days at the gym or meeting up with friends.<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> My <a href=\"https:\/\/botoxcapilar.org\/en\/hair-botox-treatment-prices-opinions-and-reviews\/\">hair feels softer and it\u2019s easier to comb<\/a>.
