She was looking for something eye-catching, and thought of rainbow highlights, which certainly fit the bill. The problem was, Sol was looking for something temporary.<\/p>\n<p>What better than a semi-permanent dye?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<span class=\"su-highlight\" style=\"background:#ffb5e8;color:#000000\">&nbsp;Thanks to advancements in hair dye technology, semi-permanent dyes are now available in all the colors of the rainbow, including turquoise, violet, and pink.&nbsp;<\/span>\n<p>And Sol was ecstatic with the result. She could show off her rainbow highlights at the party, without damaging her hair, and her tresses would go back to their natural color after a few washes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>But let's go back to lightening highlights. Can you lighten highlights with a semi-permanent dye?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>When we don't recommend using semi-permanent dye on highlights<\/h2>\n<p>Now let's talk about Karina, a client who came into my salon a while back looking to lighten her highlights.<\/p>\n<p>Problem was, her hair had already been significantly damaged.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>She had quite a few split ends, which of course could be removed with a trim.<\/p>\n<p>But there was also something I couldn't fix in the salon: her hair was very fragile and dry.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<span class=\"su-highlight\" style=\"background:#ffb5e8;color:#000000\">&nbsp;Karina knew her hair was severely damaged. Because of all her previous damage, when I heard about semi-permanent dyes, I thought they would be perfect for her highlights.&nbsp;<\/span>\n<p>The only problem is, this type of dye doesn't lighten hair.<\/p>\n<p>Are you curious why?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Then read on!<\/p>\n<p>These dyes do not have peroxide, so they cannot open the hair cuticle, remove the natural hair color, and add a new color.<\/p>\n<p>Are you curious what I recommended for Karina?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In this case, the best thing would be to wait six months and get her hair highlighted again. Otherwise, she would have to bleach her highlights all over again.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, I highly recommended that she do <a href=\"https:\/\/www.elle.com\/beauty\/hair\/tips\/g1689\/beauty-top-5-deep-conditioners-333892\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">deep hydrating treatments<\/a> at least twice per week.<\/p>\n<p>And of course, I trimmed her hair an inch and a half or so to strengthen the ends.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>How to care for your hair after using a semipermanent dye<\/h2>\n<p>For people like my friend Sol, who only wanted her highlights to last for one party, taking care of them wasn't important.<\/p>\n<p>But when you want a semi-permanent dye to last as long as possible, carefully caring for it is very important.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"su-list mylist\" style=\"margin-left:0px\"><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> To help your highlights last, use <a href=\"https:\/\/botoxcapilar.org\/en\/sulfate-free-shampoo-for-colored-hair\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">shampoo and conditioner designed for dyed hair<\/a>, and wash your hair in water as cold as you can tolerate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"su-list mylist\" style=\"margin-left:0px\"><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> And if possible, only wash your hair every three or four days. Instead, you can simply mix one egg with two spoonfuls of mayonnaise in a bowl. A todas las mujeres nos sucede que cuando estamos alegres festejamos con un cambio de look y cuando estamos en un mal momento renovamos las energ\u00edas en el sal\u00f3n. \u2022 Estudie en IAP (Instituto Argentino de peluquer\u00eda) para recibir mi t\u00edtulo de estilista en el a\u00f1o 2006. \u2022 Luego en el instituto tambi\u00e9n me especialice en colorimetr\u00eda, los colores y tonos del cabello son fundamentales para expresar lo que uno desea. \u2022 En el a\u00f1o 2015 en IAP tom\u00e9 cursos de alisado, b\u00f3tox y cauterizaci\u00f3n capilar. \u2022 Y en el a\u00f1o 2017 t\u00e9cnicas de desgastado (balayage, californianas etc). Mantenerse actualizada en las tendencias es fundamental para cualquier estilista. Cuando veo a mis clientas que ven el cabello exactamente como lo so\u00f1aban para mi es un logro personal. Me dedico especialmente a realizar cambios de look, colores fantas\u00edas, balayage, decoloraciones progresivas etc. Trabaje en varios salones, para adquirir toda la pr\u00e1ctica que necesitaba. La cadena de peluquer\u00edas \u00d3scar Colombo fue mi primer sal\u00f3n donde aprend\u00ed a interpretar a las clientas y a trabajar en equipo. Despu\u00e9s de un tiempo cambie mi enfoque a looks m\u00e1s osados en Monster Style, dedic\u00e1ndome full time a color, este sal\u00f3n en particular se dedicaba a cambios extremos colores fantas\u00edas y no convencionales, me sirvi\u00f3 mucho para aprender a utilizar la gama de tonos. Hasta que finalmente decid\u00ed armar mi sal\u00f3n en la comodidad de mi casa. Mi casa le da a mis clientas la tranquilidad de tener un espacio para ellas \u00fanicamente y totalmente personal, de esta manera cada una de ellas sabe que tienen un d\u00eda para distenderse y tambi\u00e9n, porque no, hablar de sus cosas. Para mi lo m\u00e1s importante es que obtengan el resultado que esperaban, as\u00ed que siempre pido una foto de referencia para saber bien que es lo que buscan y les doy un diagn\u00f3stico realista de cuantas sesiones llevar\u00e1, el da\u00f1o en el cabello, si se puede realizar o no. En resumen, la peluquer\u00eda es mi vocaci\u00f3n y mi arte. No podr\u00eda haber hecho otra cosa en mi vida que ser estilista. Siento que el cabello es el marco de la cara, lo que nos da impronta y reafirma nuestra personalidad. Desde tiempos ancestrales el cabello representa la sexualidad femenina. A todas las mujeres nos sucede que cuando estamos alegres festejamos con un cambio de look y cuando estamos en un mal momento renovamos las energ\u00edas en el sal\u00f3n. \u2022 Estudie en IAP (Instituto Argentino de peluquer\u00eda) para recibir mi t\u00edtulo de estilista en el a\u00f1o 2006. \u2022 Luego en el instituto tambi\u00e9n me especialice en colorimetr\u00eda, los colores y tonos del cabello son fundamentales para expresar lo que uno desea. \u2022 En el a\u00f1o 2015 en IAP tom\u00e9 cursos de alisado, b\u00f3tox y cauterizaci\u00f3n capilar. \u2022 Y en el a\u00f1o 2017 t\u00e9cnicas de desgastado (balayage, californianas etc). Mantenerse actualizada en las tendencias es fundamental para cualquier estilista. Cuando veo a mis clientas que ven el cabello exactamente como lo so\u00f1aban para mi es un logro personal. Me dedico especialmente a realizar cambios de look, colores fantas\u00edas, balayage, decoloraciones progresivas etc. Trabaje en varios salones, para adquirir toda la pr\u00e1ctica que necesitaba. La cadena de peluquer\u00edas \u00d3scar Colombo fue mi primer sal\u00f3n donde aprend\u00ed a interpretar a las clientas y a trabajar en equipo. Despu\u00e9s de un tiempo cambie mi enfoque a looks m\u00e1s osados en Monster Style, dedic\u00e1ndome full time a color, este sal\u00f3n en particular se dedicaba a cambios extremos colores fantas\u00edas y no convencionales, me sirvi\u00f3 mucho para aprender a utilizar la gama de tonos. Hasta que finalmente decid\u00ed armar mi sal\u00f3n en la comodidad de mi casa. Mi casa le da a mis clientas la tranquilidad de tener un espacio para ellas \u00fanicamente y totalmente personal, de esta manera cada una de ellas sabe que tienen un d\u00eda para distenderse y tambi\u00e9n, porque no, hablar de sus cosas. Para mi lo m\u00e1s importante es que obtengan el resultado que esperaban, as\u00ed que siempre pido una foto de referencia para saber bien que es lo que buscan y les doy un diagn\u00f3stico realista de cuantas sesiones llevar\u00e1, el da\u00f1o en el cabello, si se puede realizar o no. En resumen, la peluquer\u00eda es mi vocaci\u00f3n y mi arte. No podr\u00eda haber hecho otra cosa en mi vida que ser estilista. Por eso el nombre se mi sal\u00f3n es Ponete Linda, ponete linda para vos siempre.
