Without bleaching, the turquoise hair dye I chose would not have been nearly as vibrant,\u00a0 and the emerald green I used later would have looked more like a dull, mossy green.<\/p>\n<p>And, while your hair should be as close to platinum blond to achieve those vibrant colors, the dye you choose is also important.<\/p>\n<p>Bad dye leads to a bad hair color. It&#8217;s as simple as that.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The first semi-permanent hair dye I tried was Arctic Fox. And, for my first fantasy hair color, I chose Virgin Pink.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve never really been subtle, and was determined to completely change my look.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"su-list milista\" style=\"margin-left:0px\"><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> But from the moment I opened the container, I was a bit disappointed...<span class=\"su-highlight\" style=\"background:#ffb5e8;color:#000000\">&nbsp;the color was vastly different from the one shown on their website.&nbsp;<\/span> <\/div><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I should have taken the hint and not used the dye, because I was just as disappointed after applying the dye, letting it process, and rinsing it out.<\/p>\n<p>It was definitely a different virgin pink than what I was expecting.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"su-list milista\" style=\"margin-left:0px\">\n<ul>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> But that&#8217;s not all. <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>I also had a lot of trouble applying the dye. While applying hair dye isn&#8217;t rocket science, there are a few tricks and tips that can make it easier.<\/strong><\/span><\/div><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For example, you have to apply the dye evenly throughout every inch of your hair, so it absorbs evenly. But, because the dye had a thick consistency, almost like a hair gel, it was very difficult to evenly distribute throughout my hair.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>While my hair didn't come out looking like a zebra print, the color was lighter in places.<\/p>\n<p>Thankfully they were hard to see, so it wasn't a huge deal.<\/p>\n<p>But something caused the uneven color, and I think it was the thick consistency of the dye.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<span class=\"su-highlight\" style=\"background:# ffb5e8;color:#000000\">&nbsp;So, if you choose to use Arctic Fox, make sure to apply it very carefully. As they say, slow and steady wins the race.&nbsp;<\/span>\n<p>You might be wondering if there was anything positive about my experience with Arctic Fox dye.<\/p>\n<p>Remember what I said at the outset.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"su-list milista\" style=\"margin-left:0px\">\n<ul>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> Arctic Fox includes a conditioner in it\u2019s formula.
