Don\u2019t freak out; this happens to lots of women all the time.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"su-list milista\" style=\"margin-left:0px\">\n<ul>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> Maybe you were going for a burgundy color you saw on Instagram and you ended up with a dull, lifeless red.<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> Or maybe you wanted a subtle red and you ended up with a horrible pumpkin orange color.<\/div><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Whatever the case is, don\u2019t worry, there is a solution for everything.<\/p>\n<p>Fixing your hair is possible and I\u2019m going to tell you how to do it.<\/p>\n<p>I promise, in two minutes, you\u2019ll know how to fix your hair.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The first step is to understand why the dye went wrong and what it is that you don\u2019t like.<\/p>\n<p>Your hair didn\u2019t end up the red color you wanted?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"su-list milista\" style=\"margin-left:0px\">\n<ul>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> If your hair didn\u2019t end up the red color you wanted, <span class=\"su-highlight\" style=\"background:#ffb5e8;color:#000000\">&nbsp;the first thing I\u2019d tell you is to let two weeks go by to allow the color to finish settling in.&nbsp;<\/span><\/div><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Your hair takes a few days to expel the leftover pigments, especially with red dyes like in your case.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>After those two weeks go by, you\u2019ll know what your final color is and then you can make a decision.<\/p>\n<p>Is your hair too light or dark?<\/p>\n<p>Is the red too dull or too bright?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"su-list milista\" style=\"margin-left:0px\">\n<ul>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> In general, these kinds of problems come from CHOOSING THE WRONG DYE.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>Hair colorimetry has rules. There are colors that go well with certain skin tones and others don\u2019t do go well. That\u2019s why you might have ended up with a red color that you don\u2019t like.<\/p>\n<p>Is there a solution?<\/p>\n<p>Yes, of course!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"su-list milista\" style=\"margin-left:0px\">\n<ul>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> <strong><span style=\"color: #800080;\">For example, if your hair ended up a light red, too light for your taste, then you can apply a darker red dye over it.<\/span> <\/strong><\/div><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Now, if your hair is too dark red, then the story is a little bit different. The shampoo or conditioner that you use or don\u2019t use and the <a href=\"https:\/\/botoxcapilar.org\/en\/flat-iron-and-hair-dryer-on-dyed-hair\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">heat tools you use<\/a>, etc. will all have an effect on your new hair color.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<span class=\"su-highlight\" style=\"background:#ffb5e8;color:#000000\">&nbsp;Many women leave the salon with a vibrant red color and then after just 15 days they return with their hair darker and lifeless.&nbsp;<\/span>\n<p>Why does that happen?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Because they <a href=\"https:\/\/botoxcapilar.org\/en\/wash-hair-immediately-after-coloring\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">wash their recently-dyed hair<\/a> with the same products that they always do. Those products usually contain a ton of sulfates and other chemicals that affect your color. So, that\u2019s what makes it so within just a few days, perfect red hair turns into a nightmare.<\/p>\n<p>If that\u2019s what happened to you, then your best option is to go back to the salon where they dyed your hair to have them dye it again.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Now that you have a better idea about what the solutions for your hair might be, let\u2019s take a closer look at each one of your options.<\/p>\n<div class=\"su-list milista\" style=\"margin-left:0px\">\n<ul>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> First, I\u2019m going to tell you how to darken your hair if it ended up too light (this is relatively simple)<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> Then, I\u2019ll tell you about how to lighten your hair if it ended up too dark (this isn\u2019t so easy)<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> And lastly, I\u2019m going to tell you how to fix dull or bright hair<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> As a bonus, I also want to tell you have to choose the right red tone depending on your skin color. <\/div><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Did your red hair end up too light? You are lucky because the solution to this problem is pretty easy.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<span class=\"su-highlight\" style=\"background:#ffb5e8;color:#000000\">&nbsp;All you have to do is apply a new, darker dye and that\u2019s it, problem solved. &nbsp;<\/span>\n<p>For example, if you applied a pure 6.0 red, <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>you can apply a 6.6 burgundy red or a 6.67 violet red.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s kind of like cooking. If your food doesn\u2019t have enough salt, you can add a little more.<\/p>\n<p>The real problem is if you put too much salt in your food!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Your hair is the same; <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>it\u2019s much harder to go from dark to light than light to dark, since lightening your hair means bleaching it.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ll look at how that works soon.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Did your hair end up a dark red color that you\u2019re not happy with? I\u2019ll tell you how to lighten it<\/h2>\n<p>First thing\u2019s first, you should know that red dye is one of the most permanent kinds of dye for your hair fibers.<\/p>\n<p>That means that if you want to lighten your red hair, you\u2019re going to first need to take away the previous color.<\/p>\n<p>If you don\u2019t do that, you might end up with two-toned hair.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>There are two ways to do it:<\/p>\n<div class=\"su-list milista\" style=\"margin-left:0px\">\n<ul>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> With clarifying shampoo, which you use several times in a row until you can no longer see the red color that you\u2019re trying to change.<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> Do a color reset by applying a bleach mix from root to tip.<\/div><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>IMPORTANT: don\u2019t do the color reset on your own, especially not if your hair has been through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shape.com\/lifestyle\/beauty-style\/healthy-beauty-tips-dyed-over-processed-hair\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">several color processes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Once you don\u2019t have the red color that you want to get rid of, then you can apply a lighter color.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re not sure how to do it, go to a salon.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Did your hair end up dull or too bright?<\/h2>\n<div class=\"su-list milista\" style=\"margin-left:0px\">\n<ul>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> If your hair ended up too dull, don\u2019t worry. <\/div><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #800080;\">You can use a pure red toning shampoo to give it more life and make it shine stronger.<\/span> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"su-list milista\" style=\"margin-left:0px\">\n<ul>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> On the other hand, if your red hair <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>ended up too bright, you can use a burgundy or red-violet toning shampoo too turn down that brightness.<\/strong><\/span><\/div><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Red shades are beautiful, but they also lose their pigmentation quickly.<\/p>\n<span class=\"su-highlight\" style=\"background:#ffb5e8;color:#000000\">&nbsp;That is primarily because of the chemicals that shampoos and other hair products have, like hair masks and conditioner.&nbsp;<\/span>\n<p>But you don\u2019t have to worry too much or make any rash decisions, you just need to get a red toning shampoo, like I said before.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Just replace your normal shampoo with the corresponding toning shampoo and you\u2019ll be able to keep your red hair for longer, without needing to touch it up every three weeks.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>How to choose the right red color for your skin tone<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cosmopolitan.com\/style-beauty\/beauty\/g28864583\/copper-hair-color-shades\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Coppery red<\/a> are best for pale women or women with freckles.<\/p>\n<p>They\u2019re also known as orange reds.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For darker-skinned women, pure red or red violet shades are better, since they make both your hair and your skin seem brighter because of the contrast.<\/p>\n<p>Red looks good with all skin tones.<\/p>\n<span class=\"su-highlight\" style=\"background:#ffb5e8;color:#000000\">&nbsp;But, there are as many reds out there as there are skin tones, so my recommendations are very, very general, but can work as a starting #800080;\"><strong>For women with very light skin or with lots of freckles, orangey red tones are best. <\/strong><\/span><\/div><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The number for orange red dye is 6.54 or 6.64.<\/p>\n<p>Remember that every brand has their own special line of red dyes with many, many different shades.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"su-list milista\" style=\"margin-left:0px\">\n<ul>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>For olive toned skin or darker skin, pure reds or red violets are ideal.<\/strong><\/span><\/div><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The number for pure red is 6.0.<\/p>\n<p>The number for burgundy and red violet is 6.6 or 6.67.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m going to repeat myself: every brand has their own special line for red dye, which is why you can find red tones with numbers like 4.426 or 3.65.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s because of the mix of pigments that they use to achieve the ideal shade.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In all hair care stores and some pharmacies, you can see books with locks of hair in them to show each color of dye from all kinds of A todas las mujeres nos sucede que cuando estamos alegres festejamos con un cambio de look y cuando estamos en un mal momento renovamos las energ\u00edas en el sal\u00f3n. \u2022 Estudie en IAP (Instituto Argentino de peluquer\u00eda) para recibir mi t\u00edtulo de estilista en el a\u00f1o 2006. \u2022 Luego en el instituto tambi\u00e9n me especialice en colorimetr\u00eda, los colores y tonos del cabello son fundamentales para expresar lo que uno desea. \u2022 En el a\u00f1o 2015 en IAP tom\u00e9 cursos de alisado, b\u00f3tox y cauterizaci\u00f3n capilar. \u2022 Y en el a\u00f1o 2017 t\u00e9cnicas de desgastado (balayage, californianas etc). Mantenerse actualizada en las tendencias es fundamental para cualquier estilista. Cuando veo a mis clientas que ven el cabello exactamente como lo so\u00f1aban para mi es un logro personal. Me dedico especialmente a realizar cambios de look, colores fantas\u00edas, balayage, decoloraciones progresivas etc. Trabaje en varios salones, para adquirir toda la pr\u00e1ctica que necesitaba. La cadena de peluquer\u00edas \u00d3scar Colombo fue mi primer sal\u00f3n donde aprend\u00ed a interpretar a las clientas y a trabajar en equipo. Despu\u00e9s de un tiempo cambie mi enfoque a looks m\u00e1s osados en Monster Style, dedic\u00e1ndome full time a color, este sal\u00f3n en particular se dedicaba a cambios extremos colores fantas\u00edas y no convencionales, me sirvi\u00f3 mucho para aprender a utilizar la gama de tonos. Hasta que finalmente decid\u00ed armar mi sal\u00f3n en la comodidad de mi casa. Mi casa le da a mis clientas la tranquilidad de tener un espacio para ellas \u00fanicamente y totalmente personal, de esta manera cada una de ellas sabe que tienen un d\u00eda para distenderse y tambi\u00e9n, porque no, hablar de sus cosas. Para mi lo m\u00e1s importante es que obtengan el resultado que esperaban, as\u00ed que siempre pido una foto de referencia para saber bien que es lo que buscan y les doy un diagn\u00f3stico realista de cuantas sesiones llevar\u00e1, el da\u00f1o en el cabello, si se puede realizar o no.
