After that, you can come to your own conclusions.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Victoria was <a href=\"https:\/\/botoxcapilar.org\/en\/keratin-treatment-for-curly-hair-before-and-after\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">tired of her unmanageable curls<\/a>, which she needed to spend at least 40 minutes on every single day. And if that weren\u2019t enough, she still had a lot of trouble beating her frizz.<\/p>\n<p>In her case, a straight perm really would be a solution. But, I told her that after we straightened her hair, we should probably at least trim her ends.<\/p>\n<p>I think you could hear her screams all the way to the south pole making the penguins go running.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"su-list milista\" style=\"margin-left:0px\">\n<ul>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> A straight perm is a process that involves extreme heat to change the internal structure of your hair with a chemical called formaldehyde. Any material that you apply formaldehyde to will remain intact. <\/div><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>That\u2019s why your hair can look perfect, beautiful and bright after a straight perm, because formaldehyde creates a protective film over your hair and your stylist will seal it with extreme heat.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>At this point in my explanation, Victoria\u2019s ears had perked up and she seemed open to hearing my reasoning, so I continued.<\/p>\n<p>I would never cut a woman\u2019s hair that didn\u2019t want to do it or that didn\u2019t understand the reasons behind cutting it.<\/p>\n<p>I invited her to take a closer look at her hair and asked her to consider what she felt upon touching it.<\/p>\n<p>What did she notice? I didn\u2019t have to wait long for her to tell me.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"su-list milista\" style=\"margin-left:0px\">\n<ul>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> Her curly hair was very dry, which is normal for curly hair because of its structure. Frizzy hair is damaged, dry and dim hair. <\/div><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Would a straight perm fix her problem?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Of course, it would, because a straight perm would re-structure her hair fiber, repairing it and getting rid of the frizz.<\/p>\n<p>But, although the straight perm would help to nurture her hair, there would be parts that it can\u2019t recuperate, usually the ends.<\/p>\n<span class=\"su-highlight\" style=\"background:#ffb5e8;color:#000000\">&nbsp;That\u2019s why it\u2019s better to get your hair cut after a straight perm, so that way you can get rid of that damaged hair. &nbsp;<\/span>\n<p>Can you imagine how ugly your hair would be with a straight perm but horrible split ends? It would be a disaster!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>So, if you cut your hair, you won\u2019t just have perfectly straight hair, but you\u2019ll also have healthy and strong hair, without frizz.<\/p>\n<p>In order to get to that point, it was key for Victoria to cut the parts of her hair that the straight perm can\u2019t recuperate.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>By this point, Victoria was convinced: She would get her hair cut after the straight perm.<\/p>\n<span class=\"su-highlight\" style=\"background:#ffb5e8;color:#000000\">&nbsp;When I finished the straight perm, we both could see the excellent results: her hair was totally straight, without frizz and it was wonderfully bright. &nbsp;<\/span>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Victoria was happy, but her hair had some areas that were damaged, because although the straight perm was able to repair some parts of her hair, there were still a few areas that it couldn\u2019t recover, so we needed to cut those parts out.<\/p>\n<p>Her hair was also a little bit uneven, which makes sense because she had a style that was for curly hair, so when it was straight, it wasn\u2019t all the same length. Some areas were longer than others and it definitely did not form a straight line.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>How could we solve this problem? Exactly! By cutting her hair. And I\u2019ll tell you exactly how I did that.<\/p>\n<p>Do you want a few ideas for how to get your hair cut for after a straight perm?<\/p>\n<p>If so, then keep reading.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>How to get your hair cut after a straight perm<\/h2>\n<div class=\"su-list milista\" style=\"margin-left:0px\">\n<ul>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> I cut Victoria\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marieclaire.com\/beauty\/hair\/g693\/layered-hairstyles\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">hair into layers<\/a> and shortened out some areas on the sides. That way, we would kill two birds with one stone: we would get rid of the damaged parts and we would even out her ends. <\/div><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It was three years ago that Victoria first got her straight perm and now she comes back every three or four months to update her perm and she\u2019s even tried many different kinds of haircuts.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"su-list milista\" style=\"margin-left:0px\">\n<ul>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> If you\u2019ve had curly hair for a long time, then you must know that it\u2019s totally different cutting curly hair than cutting straight hair. <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>Depending on your curl type, the hair stylist might need to cut it diagonally, getting rid of certain layers to control your hair\u2019s volume, etc. <\/div><\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>That\u2019s why when you finish up with the straight perm, you\u2019ll at least need to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wikihow.com\/Trim-Your-Own-Split-Ends\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">get the ends trimmed<\/a> and it\u2019s a good idea to get a cut that complements straight hair.<\/p>\n<p>That might mean shortening the sides, getting layers or even a bob if you\u2019re open to shorter hair.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"su-list milista\" style=\"margin-left:0px\">\n<ul>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.glamourmagazine.co.uk\/gallery\/straight-hairstyles\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Straight hair styles<\/a> are a lot easier to maintain and with the straight perm, you won\u2019t need to worry about frizz, so you should be able to have any style you want.<\/div><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You also can choose to get layers, which look amazing on straight hair, whether it\u2019s medium or long.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>What happens if you already got your hair cut and now you want to get a straight perm?<\/h2>\n<p>Now let\u2019s say that you got your hair cut recently and now you want to get a straight perm.<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t worry, the world will keep on turning.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<span class=\"su-highlight\" style=\"background:#ffb5e8;color:#000000\">&nbsp;Once your stylist has finished with the straight perm, they\u2019ll do the same thing as always. That means that if they see that your cut looks uneven, they\u2019ll ask you if you want them to even it out. &nbsp;<\/span>\n<p>It might have ended up uneven because when you got the cut originally, your hair wasn\u2019t permed straight. A todas las mujeres nos sucede que cuando estamos alegres festejamos con un cambio de look y cuando estamos en un mal momento renovamos las energ\u00edas en el sal\u00f3n. \u2022 Estudie en IAP (Instituto Argentino de peluquer\u00eda) para recibir mi t\u00edtulo de estilista en el a\u00f1o 2006. \u2022 Luego en el instituto tambi\u00e9n me especialice en colorimetr\u00eda, los colores y tonos del cabello son fundamentales para expresar lo que uno desea. \u2022 En el a\u00f1o 2015 en IAP tom\u00e9 cursos de alisado, b\u00f3tox y cauterizaci\u00f3n capilar. \u2022 Y en el a\u00f1o 2017 t\u00e9cnicas de desgastado (balayage, californianas etc). Mantenerse actualizada en las tendencias es fundamental para cualquier estilista. Cuando veo a mis clientas que ven el cabello exactamente como lo so\u00f1aban para mi es un logro personal. Me dedico especialmente a realizar cambios de look, colores fantas\u00edas, balayage, decoloraciones progresivas etc. Trabaje en varios salones, para adquirir toda la pr\u00e1ctica que necesitaba. La cadena de peluquer\u00edas \u00d3scar Colombo fue mi primer sal\u00f3n donde aprend\u00ed a interpretar a las clientas y a trabajar en equipo. Despu\u00e9s de un tiempo cambie mi enfoque a looks m\u00e1s osados en Monster Style, dedic\u00e1ndome full time a color, este sal\u00f3n en particular se dedicaba a cambios extremos colores fantas\u00edas y no convencionales, me sirvi\u00f3 mucho para aprender a utilizar la gama de tonos. Hasta que finalmente decid\u00ed armar mi sal\u00f3n en la comodidad de mi casa. Mi casa le da a mis clientas la tranquilidad de tener un espacio para ellas \u00fanicamente y totalmente personal, de esta manera cada una de ellas sabe que tienen un d\u00eda para distenderse y tambi\u00e9n, porque no, hablar de sus cosas. Para mi lo m\u00e1s importante es que obtengan el resultado que esperaban, as\u00ed que siempre pido una foto de referencia para saber bien que es lo que buscan y les doy un diagn\u00f3stico realista de cuantas sesiones llevar\u00e1, el da\u00f1o en el cabello, si se puede realizar o no. En resumen, la peluquer\u00eda es mi vocaci\u00f3n y mi arte. No podr\u00eda haber hecho otra cosa en mi vida que ser estilista. Siento que el cabello es el marco de la cara, lo que nos da impronta y reafirma nuestra personalidad. Desde tiempos ancestrales el cabello representa la sexualidad femenina. A todas las mujeres nos sucede que cuando estamos alegres festejamos con un cambio de look y cuando estamos en un mal momento renovamos las energ\u00edas en el sal\u00f3n. \u2022 Estudie en IAP (Instituto Argentino de peluquer\u00eda) para recibir mi t\u00edtulo de estilista en el a\u00f1o 2006. \u2022 Luego en el instituto tambi\u00e9n me especialice en colorimetr\u00eda, los colores y tonos del cabello son fundamentales para expresar lo que uno desea. \u2022 En el a\u00f1o 2015 en IAP tom\u00e9 cursos de alisado, b\u00f3tox y cauterizaci\u00f3n capilar. \u2022 Y en el a\u00f1o 2017 t\u00e9cnicas de desgastado (balayage, californianas etc). Mantenerse actualizada en las tendencias es fundamental para cualquier estilista. Cuando veo a mis clientas que ven el cabello exactamente como lo so\u00f1aban para mi es un logro personal. Me dedico especialmente a realizar cambios de look, colores fantas\u00edas, balayage, decoloraciones progresivas etc. Trabaje en varios salones, para adquirir toda la pr\u00e1ctica que necesitaba. La cadena de peluquer\u00edas \u00d3scar Colombo fue mi primer sal\u00f3n donde aprend\u00ed a interpretar a las clientas y a trabajar en equipo. Despu\u00e9s de un tiempo cambie mi enfoque a looks m\u00e1s osados en Monster Style, dedic\u00e1ndome full time a color, este sal\u00f3n en particular se dedicaba a cambios extremos colores fantas\u00edas y no convencionales, me sirvi\u00f3 mucho para aprender a utilizar la gama de tonos. Hasta que finalmente decid\u00ed armar mi sal\u00f3n en la comodidad de mi casa. Mi casa le da a mis clientas la tranquilidad de tener un espacio para ellas \u00fanicamente y totalmente personal, de esta manera cada una de ellas sabe que tienen un d\u00eda para distenderse y tambi\u00e9n, porque no, hablar de sus cosas. Para mi lo m\u00e1s importante es que obtengan el resultado que esperaban, as\u00ed que siempre pido una foto de referencia para saber bien que es lo que buscan y les doy un diagn\u00f3stico realista de cuantas sesiones llevar\u00e1, el da\u00f1o en el cabello, si se puede realizar o no. En resumen, la peluquer\u00eda es mi vocaci\u00f3n y mi arte. No podr\u00eda haber hecho otra cosa en mi vida que ser estilista. Por eso el nombre se mi sal\u00f3n es Ponete Linda, ponete linda para vos siempre.
