And your hair health could be put at risk.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Personally, I love social media. Many of my clients share their posts with me every time that I do a change in look for them in the salon.<\/p>\n<p>However, social media has a dark side, just like the moon. <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>And this is that many people believe that these sudden changes in hair color are done almost as if by magic without having to pay any type of price.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Believe me, bleaching always has a price. You should know what you\u2019re up against.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>So the same thing doesn\u2019t happen to you as what happened to Noelia, a young girl with more hair than head, as my mother would say.<\/p>\n<p>Noelia came to see me with her hair absolutely destroyed. And I\u2019m not exaggerating. When I say destroyed, I mean that I was even afraid to touch it. Because literally, it was disintegrating in my hands.<\/p>\n<p>What had happened to Noelia\u2019s hair?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>She had done a bleaching treatment on her dark brown hair, as recommended by her favorite Youtubers.<\/p>\n<p>I can\u2019t comprehend how people could believe that a three-minute video could sum up years of learning about hair coloring.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>When she finished bleaching her hair, she still wanted it to be lighter.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Because in this moment nothing had happened to her hair, as in, it hadn\u2019t fallen out or wasn\u2019t showing any signs of damage, she did a second bleaching treatment.<\/p>\n<span class=\"su-highlight\" style=\"background:#ffb5e8;color:#000000\">&nbsp;But this time, things didn\u2019t turn out so well. Her hair couldn\u2019t resist the effects of the bleach mix, and her hair strands, before healthy, were now frizzy, devoid of shine, movement, and life.&nbsp;<\/span>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m guessing that in this moment Noelia could see flashes of all those before-and-after images of smiling girls in the Youtube videos, with their lightened hair, again and again. And this is what Noelia failed to do.<\/p>\n<p>You shouldn\u2019t simply breathe a sigh of relief because your hair didn\u2019t fall out after the first bleaching treatment. No, you have to go further than that.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>You need to carefully observe your hair.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Do you notice that it\u2019s drier?<\/li>\n<li>When you touch it is it as if you were coming into contact with broom bristles?<\/li>\n<li>Does it look dull, dry and without shine?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<span class=\"su-highlight\" style=\"background:#ffb5e8;color:#000000\">&nbsp;If so, your hair is speaking to you, and it\u2019s saying that you shouldn\u2019t bleach it again, at least not for now.&nbsp;<\/span>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>First, you need to <a href=\"https:\/\/botoxcapilar.org\/en\/shampoos-and-products-fixing-bleached-damaged-hair\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">hydrate and repair your hair<\/a> so that when you bleach it again you won\u2019t burn or break it.<\/p>\n<p>Because, I can never get tired of saying it, bleaching is a chemical process, which breaks your hair cuticles so that the hair expulses its pigment. For that reason, after doing a treatment, your hair can look dull and dry and have split ends.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If your hair is like that, don\u2019t bleach it, because it won\u2019t be able to stand the treatment again. If you lighten it with another bleaching treatment, it\u2019s more than likely that your hair will be burned, or even that it will break and fall out.<\/p>\n<p>You need to hydrate it so that it can regain its strength after the last bleaching treatment, and you can do it by applying repairing oils, hydrating creams and heat masks. At the end of this article, I\u2019ll give you a complete guide so that you know how to regain your hair health in little time.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As we saw, hair health is the first thing you should have in mind before doing another bleaching treatment, and after applying it as well. What\u2019s the second thing?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The tone that you have after the first bleaching and the tone you\u2019re hoping to have after the second. It\u2019s not the same to achieve a silver blonde starting from a light blonde as it is starting from a dark brown.<\/p>\n<span class=\"su-highlight\" style=\"background:#ffb5e8;color:#000000\">&nbsp;The darker the base color is and the lighter the tone you wish to have is, the more bleaching sessions you\u2019ll need.&nbsp;<\/span>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The base tone is fundamental for knowing how many bleaching treatments you\u2019ll need to get your desired shade.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For example, if your base tone is a brown 4, and you want to have a light brown 6, you\u2019ll only need one bleaching session.<\/li>\n<li>If your base tone is a medium blonde 7, and you want to have an extra light blonde 9, you\u2019ll only need one bleaching session.<\/li>\n<li>But if your base tone is a chocolate 5, and you want to have blonde 8, you\u2019ll have to do two bleaching sessions, and if your base tone is a dark brown 3, and you want to get to a blonde 8 shade, you\u2019ll need to do three bleaching sessions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<span class=\"su-highlight\" style=\"background:#ffb5e8;color:#000000\">&nbsp;As you can see, the more shades by which you want to lighten, the more bleaching you\u2019ll need to do.&nbsp;<\/span>\n<p>If you only want to lighten by two tones, one bleaching session should be enough; if you want to lighten by 3 tones, you\u2019ll need two bleaching sessions, and if you\u2019re looking to lighten by 4 or more tones, then you\u2019ll need to bleach your hair three or four times.<\/p>\n<p>How often can you do bleaching treatments?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The ideal time between bleaching treatments is one month, because in this way, you\u2019ll give your hair time to recover.<\/p>\n<p>Or you can be like Noelia, and take the risk of irreversibly ruining your hair.<\/p>\n<p>Are you willing to wait 4 weeks before lightening your bleached hair?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If so, this is what you should do.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>How to prepare bleached hair for lightening<\/h2>\n<p>If you want to have a lighter shade in your hair, you should never apply several bleaching treatments in the same day. Also not the day after, or even in the same week.<\/p>\n<p>Because this would irreversibly damage your hair, to the <a href=\"https:\/\/botoxcapilar.org\/en\/bleached-hair-breaking-off-when-wet\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">point of breaking its fibers<\/a>.<\/p>\n<span class=\"su-highlight\" style=\"background:#ffb5e8;color:#000000\">&nbsp;Lightening your hair is a slow process. Between each session of bleaching, you should wait at least four weeks, I repeat, FOUR WEEKS, and you should hydrate your hair while you\u2019re waiting for your next bleaching treatment.&nbsp;<\/span>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re thinking about lightening your bleached hair, fifteen days before, you should do the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hydrate it with argan or coconut oil every day, applying some drops to the long part of your hair and the ends.<\/li>\n<li>Apply keratine masks with heat over your whole hair surface, at least once per week. To produce heat, you should use an aluminum cap.<\/li>\n<li>Four hours <a href=\"https:\/\/botoxcapilar.org\/en\/coconut-oil-before-bleaching-hair\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">before the bleaching, put in coconut oil<\/a> and don\u2019t rinse it out, given that it won\u2019t intefer with the bleach mix, and your hair will be more protected.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Conclusions<\/h2>\n<p>If you respect the time between each bleaching session, you can lighten your hair without paying too high of a price, like the one Noelia paid.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, the only thing I could do for Noelia was to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thelist.com\/49425\/signs-time-cut-hair\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">cut her hair<\/a>. A pixie cut, because her hair was already too burned, and I had to get rid of these sections that were weakening her hair even more.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not that you can\u2019t bleach your hair again, but you need to assess your hair health and respect the time between bleaching.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>And now tell me, how is your hair health? A todas las mujeres nos sucede que cuando estamos alegres festejamos con un cambio de look y cuando estamos en un mal momento renovamos las energ\u00edas en el sal\u00f3n. \u2022 Estudie en IAP (Instituto Argentino de peluquer\u00eda) para recibir mi t\u00edtulo de estilista en el a\u00f1o 2006. \u2022 Luego en el instituto tambi\u00e9n me especialice en colorimetr\u00eda, los colores y tonos del cabello son fundamentales para expresar lo que uno desea. \u2022 En el a\u00f1o 2015 en IAP tom\u00e9 cursos de alisado, b\u00f3tox y cauterizaci\u00f3n capilar. \u2022 Y en el a\u00f1o 2017 t\u00e9cnicas de desgastado (balayage, californianas etc). Mantenerse actualizada en las tendencias es fundamental para cualquier estilista. Cuando veo a mis clientas que ven el cabello exactamente como lo so\u00f1aban para mi es un logro personal. Me dedico especialmente a realizar cambios de look, colores fantas\u00edas, balayage, decoloraciones progresivas etc. Trabaje en varios salones, para adquirir toda la pr\u00e1ctica que necesitaba. La cadena de peluquer\u00edas \u00d3scar Colombo fue mi primer sal\u00f3n donde aprend\u00ed a interpretar a las clientas y a trabajar en equipo. Despu\u00e9s de un tiempo cambie mi enfoque a looks m\u00e1s osados en Monster Style, dedic\u00e1ndome full time a color, este sal\u00f3n en particular se dedicaba a cambios extremos colores fantas\u00edas y no convencionales, me sirvi\u00f3 mucho para aprender a utilizar la gama de tonos. A todas las mujeres nos sucede que cuando estamos alegres festejamos con un cambio de look y cuando estamos en un mal momento renovamos las energ\u00edas en el sal\u00f3n. \u2022 Estudie en IAP (Instituto Argentino de peluquer\u00eda) para recibir mi t\u00edtulo de estilista en el a\u00f1o 2006. \u2022 Luego en el instituto tambi\u00e9n me especialice en colorimetr\u00eda, los colores y tonos del cabello son fundamentales para expresar lo que uno desea. \u2022 En el a\u00f1o 2015 en IAP tom\u00e9 cursos de alisado, b\u00f3tox y cauterizaci\u00f3n capilar. \u2022 Y en el a\u00f1o 2017 t\u00e9cnicas de desgastado (balayage, californianas etc). Mantenerse actualizada en las tendencias es fundamental para cualquier estilista. Cuando veo a mis clientas que ven el cabello exactamente como lo so\u00f1aban para mi es un logro personal. Me dedico especialmente a realizar cambios de look, colores fantas\u00edas, balayage, decoloraciones progresivas etc. Trabaje en varios salones, para adquirir toda la pr\u00e1ctica que necesitaba. La cadena de peluquer\u00edas \u00d3scar Colombo fue mi primer sal\u00f3n donde aprend\u00ed a interpretar a las clientas y a trabajar en equipo. Despu\u00e9s de un tiempo cambie mi enfoque a looks m\u00e1s osados en Monster Style, dedic\u00e1ndome full time a color, este sal\u00f3n en particular se dedicaba a cambios extremos colores fantas\u00edas y no convencionales, me sirvi\u00f3 mucho para aprender a utilizar la gama de tonos.
