Between all of the words that spilled out of her mouth, I only understood, \u201cThese horrible red highlights!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>When I heard that, I looked at her hair, and then I understood. Ella had taken a few days\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/botoxcapilar.org\/en\/can-i-color-my-hair-if-i-go-to-the-beach\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">vacations at the beach<\/a>. And that means sunshine, which tanned her skin nicely, and salty waves, which she fearlessly surfed.<\/p>\n<p>But, of course, sunshine and saltwater didn\u2019t give her hair much of a vacation. Because to make brown, you need to use red. &nbsp;<\/span>\n<p>When brown fades, those red undertones tend to appear.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lorealprofessionnel.co.uk\/hair-advice\/hair-colour-advice\/what-do-the-numbers-in-hair-colour-mean\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">In colorimetry, the color palette goes from 1 to 10<\/a>, with 1 being black and 10 platinum blonde.<\/p>\n<p>On this color palette, brown hair falls under one of three numbers or \u201clevels\u201d: level 3 is dark brown, level 4 is brown and level 5 is light brown.<\/p>\n<p>Have you noticed that most dyes have more numbers after a comma or period?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Those numbers determine the color tone, which in the case of ash tones, is number 2.<\/p>\n<p>So, to tone your brown hair, you need to choose your new dye with two key aspects in mind:<div class=\"su-list milista\" style=\"margin-left:0px\">\n<ul>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> First, you should always choose the same level that you already have in your hair.<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> And second, you should choose a dye with an ash tone, which is defined by the second number.<\/div><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<span class=\"su-highlight\" style=\"background:#ffb5e8;color:#000000\">&nbsp;So, if your hair is a brown level \u00a04, you should go for a 4.2 dye. If your hair is dyed level 5 light brown, then you\u2019ll need a 5.2 dye. If your hair is a dark brown 3, then you should only use a 3.2 dye. &nbsp;<\/span>\n<p>Because you\u2019re not trying to change your hair\u2019s level, just tone those red undertones.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>How to apply ash brown to your hair in four steps<\/h2>\n<p>Once you\u2019ve gotten your dye kit with the right numbers for the right level and tone, all you need to do is use the dye. Do you want to know a hairdresser\u2019s secret?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<span class=\"su-highlight\" style=\"background:#ffb5e8;color:#000000\">&nbsp;Before you use the ash brown dye, you should wait until your hair color fades as much as possible. You should use the ash brown dye around the same time that you\u2019d normally go to get your color touched up.&nbsp;<\/span>\n<p>That way, your hair will absorb double the amount of pigment since your hair fiber will have lost the pigment it had before.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Step 1: Preparing your hair<\/h3>\n<p>Brush your hair out as much as you can so it\u2019s easy to manipulate when you need to apply the dye. If so, you\u2019re seconds away from finding them out.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>How to maintain your color longer<\/h2>\n<div class=\"su-list milista\" style=\"margin-left:0px\">\n<ul>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> The first thing I recommended to Ella was to use a <a href=\"https:\/\/botoxcapilar.org\/en\/toner-vs-purple-shampoo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">purple toning shampoo<\/a>. <\/div><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I still laugh about the face she gave me when she heard me say, \u201cpurple shampoo!\u201d She thought that if she used it, her hair would turn purple.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>But that\u2019s not what it does. <span class=\"su-highlight\" style=\"background:#ffb5e8;color:#000000\">&nbsp; Purple shampoo tone those unwanted colors that might appear before you touch up your hair with ash brown again. &nbsp;<\/span>\n<p>You just leave it in your hair a few minutes while you shower, then rinse it out completely with lukewarm water.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"su-list milista\" style=\"margin-left:0px\">\n<ul>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> <a href=\"https:\/\/botoxcapilar.org\/en\/flat-iron-and-hair-dryer-on-dyed-hair\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Keep your hair away from heat tools<\/a>. A todas las mujeres nos sucede que cuando estamos alegres festejamos con un cambio de look y cuando estamos en un mal momento renovamos las energ\u00edas en el sal\u00f3n. \u2022 Estudie en IAP (Instituto Argentino de peluquer\u00eda) para recibir mi t\u00edtulo de estilista en el a\u00f1o 2006. \u2022 Luego en el instituto tambi\u00e9n me especialice en colorimetr\u00eda, los colores y tonos del cabello son fundamentales para expresar lo que uno desea. \u2022 En el a\u00f1o 2015 en IAP tom\u00e9 cursos de alisado, b\u00f3tox y cauterizaci\u00f3n capilar. \u2022 Y en el a\u00f1o 2017 t\u00e9cnicas de desgastado (balayage, californianas etc). Mantenerse actualizada en las tendencias es fundamental para cualquier estilista. Cuando veo a mis clientas que ven el cabello exactamente como lo so\u00f1aban para mi es un logro personal. Me dedico especialmente a realizar cambios de look, colores fantas\u00edas, balayage, decoloraciones progresivas etc. Trabaje en varios salones, para adquirir toda la pr\u00e1ctica que necesitaba. La cadena de peluquer\u00edas \u00d3scar Colombo fue mi primer sal\u00f3n donde aprend\u00ed a interpretar a las clientas y a trabajar en equipo. Despu\u00e9s de un tiempo cambie mi enfoque a looks m\u00e1s osados en Monster Style, dedic\u00e1ndome full time a color, este sal\u00f3n en particular se dedicaba a cambios extremos colores fantas\u00edas y no convencionales, me sirvi\u00f3 mucho para aprender a utilizar la gama de tonos. Hasta que finalmente decid\u00ed armar mi sal\u00f3n en la comodidad de mi casa. Mi casa le da a mis clientas la tranquilidad de tener un espacio para ellas \u00fanicamente y totalmente personal, de esta manera cada una de ellas sabe que tienen un d\u00eda para distenderse y tambi\u00e9n, porque no, hablar de sus cosas. A todas las mujeres nos sucede que cuando estamos alegres festejamos con un cambio de look y cuando estamos en un mal momento renovamos las energ\u00edas en el sal\u00f3n. \u2022 Estudie en IAP (Instituto Argentino de peluquer\u00eda) para recibir mi t\u00edtulo de estilista en el a\u00f1o 2006. \u2022 Luego en el instituto tambi\u00e9n me especialice en colorimetr\u00eda, los colores y tonos del cabello son fundamentales para expresar lo que uno desea. \u2022 En el a\u00f1o 2015 en IAP tom\u00e9 cursos de alisado, b\u00f3tox y cauterizaci\u00f3n capilar. \u2022 Y en el a\u00f1o 2017 t\u00e9cnicas de desgastado (balayage, californianas etc). Mantenerse actualizada en las tendencias es fundamental para cualquier estilista. Cuando veo a mis clientas que ven el cabello exactamente como lo so\u00f1aban para mi es un logro personal. Me dedico especialmente a realizar cambios de look, colores fantas\u00edas, balayage, decoloraciones progresivas etc. Trabaje en varios salones, para adquirir toda la pr\u00e1ctica que necesitaba. La cadena de peluquer\u00edas \u00d3scar Colombo fue mi primer sal\u00f3n donde aprend\u00ed a interpretar a las clientas y a trabajar en equipo. Despu\u00e9s de un tiempo cambie mi enfoque a looks m\u00e1s osados en Monster Style, dedic\u00e1ndome full time a color, este sal\u00f3n en particular se dedicaba a cambios extremos colores fantas\u00edas y no convencionales, me sirvi\u00f3 mucho para aprender a utilizar la gama de tonos. Hasta que finalmente decid\u00ed armar mi sal\u00f3n en la comodidad de mi casa. Mi casa le da a mis clientas la tranquilidad de tener un espacio para ellas \u00fanicamente y totalmente personal, de esta manera cada una de ellas sabe que tienen un d\u00eda para distenderse y tambi\u00e9n, porque no, hablar de sus cosas.
