I\u2019ll tell you more about that in a few seconds.<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> Just use a small quantity at a time, because otherwise you run the risk that your curls become hard and motionless.<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>The only time you should apply mousse to wet hair<\/strong><\/span> is when you want to keep a style for a long time, or your hair is very fine and you want to see defined curls.<\/div><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<span class=\"su-highlight\" style=\"background:#ffb5e8;color:#000000\">&nbsp;Many of my clients are surprised when I tell them that not all mousses are the same. And I\u2019m not just talking about the quality, price, or brands. I\u2019m referring to the different levels of mousses have according to the style you want.&nbsp;<\/span>\n<p>And that will determine if you should put it in dry or wet hair.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s look at two examples from my salon.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Maria has barely defined curls. When she visits me at the salon, I use a level one <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>mousse in her dry hair because I want to define her curls more so their movement is natural and fun.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Now, things are different in Julieta\u2019s case.<\/p>\n<p>She works as a salesperson at events and fairs. Yes, she\u2019s one of the girls who are always smiling, offering free samples, or giving out flyers.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The last event she participated in was the presentation of a new brand of mousse. Of course, the company requested her to style her hair with marked and well-defined curls.<\/p>\n<p>This is why I used a level 3 mousse, and I applied it to her wet hair to form her curls with a hairdryer.<\/p>\n<p>I used this level of mousse in this way because Julieta<span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong> needed for her curls to stay firm and defined for a long time as the event lasted all day.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<span class=\"su-highlight\" style=\"background:#ffb5e8;color:#000000\">&nbsp;We use mousse in dry hair to define waves or curls naturally, but if you\u2019re looking for a stronger definition with volume, you should apply it to wet hair.&nbsp;<\/span>\n<p>Hair mousse has two basic objectives:<div class=\"su-list milista\" style=\"margin-left:0px\">\n<ul>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> Create volume and structure in fine hair.<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> Define waves or curls<\/div><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Do you want to style your hair according to the latest fashion simply without having to go to the salon? The important thing is that you apply just the right and necessary amount.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<span class=\"su-highlight\" style=\"background:#ffb5e8;color:#000000\">&nbsp;If you put too much mousse in your hair or if you apply a mousse with a higher level of hold in dry hair, your waves or curls will become as hard as cables and you\u2019ll lose your natural style.&nbsp;<\/span>\n<p>And this will happen because mousses with higher levels of hold are for structured styles or updos where you need firmness.<\/p>\n<p>This is why you must remember that in dry hair, you should use a level 1 or 2 hold and a small amount.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Aren\u2019t sure about how to apply it? Well, the world will continue to turn, but in reality, you should only use it in wet hair for specific cases.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>When you should apply mousse to wet hair and how to apply it<\/h2>\n<p>Mousse is used in wet hair in certain cases:<div class=\"su-list milista\" style=\"margin-left:0px\">\n<ul>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> For structured styles, such as bridal hairstyles or updos for parties<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> To <a href=\"https:\/\/www.naturallycurly.com\/curlreading\/regimen\/how-to-make-fine-thin-hair-look-fuller-without-losing-curl-definition\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">define curls in fine hair<\/a><\/div><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For structured styles, it\u2019s an excellent tool since it lasts for a long time in your hair.<\/p>\n<span class=\"su-highlight\" style=\"background:#ffb5e8;color:#000000\">&nbsp;But in this case, you should always use mousses with higher levels of hold, such as 3 or 4, to make sure the style lasts longer.&nbsp;<\/span>\n<p>Do you have very fine hair and no way to define your curls?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a normal problem for those of us with fine hair.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>Even if you curl your hair as much as possible, it loses its shape in no time.<\/strong><\/span> But if you use a mousse with a high level of hold in your wet hair, you\u2019ll be able to have defined curls that last for longer.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The way you apply it to wet hair is the same as for dry hair; don\u2019t apply it directly with your hand, rather use a medium-toothed comb so you distribute it evenly.<\/p>\n<p>Since your hair is wet in this case, distributing it will be much easier.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>But there\u2019s something you need to pay extra attention to: once you finish applying it, you should dry your hair in a specific way.<div class=\"su-list milista\" style=\"margin-left:0px\">\n<ul>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> With your <a href=\"https:\/\/botoxcapilar.org\/en\/how-hot-does-a-hair-dryer-get\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">hairdryer set to medium heat<\/a>, dry your hair after applying the mousse.<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> The mousse will affect your fine hair, and you\u2019ll find it\u2019s not obedient nor volatile, rather it will feel heavier.<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> On top of all this, you\u2019ll achieve more volume, which is exactly what your curls need to maintain perfect definition and more texture.<\/div><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Now you know. If we\u2019re talking about wet hair, you should apply mousse with a high level of hold and for special occasions, like when you need a style with maximum duration, above all if you have fine hair.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Conclusions<\/h2>\n<p>Mousse is an excellent tool to set and define curls, which you can apply to dry or wet hair. A todas las mujeres nos sucede que cuando estamos alegres festejamos con un cambio de look y cuando estamos en un mal momento renovamos las energ\u00edas en el sal\u00f3n. \u2022 Estudie en IAP (Instituto Argentino de peluquer\u00eda) para recibir mi t\u00edtulo de estilista en el a\u00f1o 2006. \u2022 Luego en el instituto tambi\u00e9n me especialice en colorimetr\u00eda, los colores y tonos del cabello son fundamentales para expresar lo que uno desea. \u2022 En el a\u00f1o 2015 en IAP tom\u00e9 cursos de alisado, b\u00f3tox y cauterizaci\u00f3n capilar. \u2022 Y en el a\u00f1o 2017 t\u00e9cnicas de desgastado (balayage, californianas etc). Despu\u00e9s de un tiempo cambie mi enfoque a looks m\u00e1s osados en Monster Style, dedic\u00e1ndome full time a color, este sal\u00f3n en particular se dedicaba a cambios extremos colores fantas\u00edas y no convencionales, me sirvi\u00f3 mucho para aprender a utilizar la gama de tonos. Hasta que finalmente decid\u00ed armar mi sal\u00f3n en la comodidad de mi casa. Mi casa le da a mis clientas la tranquilidad de tener un espacio para ellas \u00fanicamente y totalmente personal, de esta manera cada una de ellas sabe que tienen un d\u00eda para distenderse y tambi\u00e9n, porque no, hablar de sus cosas. A todas las mujeres nos sucede que cuando estamos alegres festejamos con un cambio de look y cuando estamos en un mal momento renovamos las energ\u00edas en el sal\u00f3n. \u2022 Estudie en IAP (Instituto Argentino de peluquer\u00eda) para recibir mi t\u00edtulo de estilista en el a\u00f1o 2006. \u2022 Luego en el instituto tambi\u00e9n me especialice en colorimetr\u00eda, los colores y tonos del cabello son fundamentales para expresar lo que uno desea. \u2022 En el a\u00f1o 2015 en IAP tom\u00e9 cursos de alisado, b\u00f3tox y cauterizaci\u00f3n capilar. \u2022 Y en el a\u00f1o 2017 t\u00e9cnicas de desgastado (balayage, californianas etc).
