She\u2019s one of my best clients. But, as great as she is, she\u2019s also stubborn. Why do I say that?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>About 20 days ago, Maria visited me at the salon because she wanted to do a complete and total color change. And, to do that, we had to bleach her hair.<\/p>\n<p>Since her hair wasn\u2019t in great shape, I told her that we\u2019d need to make the changes gradually through a <a href=\"https:\/\/botoxcapilar.org\/en\/bleaching-hair-twice-in-one-day\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">few sessions of bleach<\/a>. Of course, Maria wasn\u2019t happy with my answer, so she ended up just asking me for a trim instead of going through with making the change.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I thought she\u2019d understood what I told her and that she just wanted to sleep on it before deciding to go through with the change.<\/p>\n<p>So, imagine my surprise when Maria came back into the salon two days later, desperate, with her hair burned and turned a horrible carrot orange color?<\/p>\n<p>What happened?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<span class=\"su-highlight\" style=\"background:#ffb5e8;color:#000000\">&nbsp;A series of errors added up to the catastrophe because she didn\u2019t leave the bleach in her hair long enough. She washed it out too soon. And, unfortunately, she had to face the consequences of those mistakes. What were they? Burned and damaged hair.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"su-list milista\" style=\"margin-left:0px\">\n<ul>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> The first mistake she made was not leaving the <a href=\"https:\/\/botoxcapilar.org\/en\/how-long-to-leave-40-volume-bleach-in-hair\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">bleach in her hair for long enough<\/a>. And if you don\u2019t leave it in long enough, you won\u2019t get rid of the underlying pigments in your hair fiber.<\/div><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And if you don\u2019t get rid of them, then you\u2019ll never get to the color you were hoping for.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"su-list milista\" style=\"margin-left:0px\">\n<ul>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> Her second mistake was washing the bleach out with shampoo and conditioner. Why is that a mistake?<\/div><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Because using those products closed her hair cuticles.<\/p>\n<p>And since she closed them, the toner couldn\u2019t neutralize the unwanted colors in her hair. The result?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Carrot-orange hair, in her case.<\/p>\n<p>If she had at least left the toner in her hair for longer, she might have been able to get rid of those orange tones, but since she didn\u2019t have the necessary background knowledge, she didn\u2019t do that.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"su-list milista\" style=\"margin-left:0px\">\n<ul>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> <span class=\"su-highlight\" style=\"background:#ffb5e8;color:#000000\">&nbsp;It\u2019s very important not to wash your hair with shampoo and especially not with conditioner after bleaching your hair.&nbsp;<\/span><\/div><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Because all you\u2019ll end up doing is closing your hair cuticle which stops the toner from working properly.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s why, when you\u2019ve got the base color you\u2019re looking for with the bleach, all you need to do is wash the bleach out of your hair using plenty of cool water. I repeat: all you should use is cool water.<\/p>\n<p>But, you should be sure to get rid of all of the bleach with the water because if you don\u2019t, the toner or dye you\u2019ll use to tone your bleached hair won\u2019t work.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>Now that you\u2019ve washed the bleach out with just cool water, <\/strong><\/span>you probably want to know when you should use the shampoo. And that\u2019s what I\u2019m about to tell you about.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>When should you use shampoo after washing out the bleach<\/h2>\n<p>Once you\u2019ve bleached your hair and washed the bleach out of it with cool water, you should use your chosen product for toning your hair and leave it for the amount of time the instructions indicate.<\/p>\n<p>In the salon, we usually mix a few dyes depending on what color your hair is after bleaching it, but thankfully, these days <a href=\"https:\/\/bellatory.com\/hair\/DIY-Hair-What-is-Toner-and-How-Does-it-Work\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">there is toner<\/a> to do the job.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Toner works to get rid of unwanted tones that appear in bleached hair. This product comes in several different colors, so it\u2019s also important that you choose one in a color opposite to the one you want to neutralize.<\/p>\n<span class=\"su-highlight\" style=\"background:#ffb5e8;color:#000000\">&nbsp;For example, if you want to get rid of a chicken yellow color, you should opt for a purple toner, and if you want to get rid of orange, then you should use blue toner.&nbsp;<\/span>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Once you\u2019ve toned down those unwanted yellow or orange colors and your hair has the perfect color you were dreaming of, that\u2019s when you can finally wash your hair with shampoo.<\/p>\n<p>So, that means that in the bleaching process, the only time you\u2019ll use shampoo and conditioner is after you tone your hair.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Conclusions<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>Now you know that all you should use to wash the bleach out of your hair is cool water.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>That step is an important one, so the toner you use afterward can work on your hair correctly to get rid of unwanted colors in it. A mis 25 a\u00f1os comenc\u00e9 a trabajar por mi cuenta, atendiendo a domicilio usando como medio de difusi\u00f3n Facebook y el boca en boca. Al cabo de un a\u00f1o ya no ten\u00eda lugar en la agenda y mis clientas deb\u00edan sacar turno con much\u00edsimo tiempo de anticipaci\u00f3n. A los 28 fui madre de mi hermoso Thiago, por lo que mis clientas se vieron obligadas a suplantarme por lo menos durante un a\u00f1o. A los 29 decid\u00ed ponerme en marcha para volver a trabajar pero ten\u00eda muchas ganas de perfeccionarme en el mundo del peinado por lo que tome un curso con la talentos\u00edsima Romina Romero. Y por si fuera poco, a todo este mundo de la peluquer\u00eda quer\u00eda sumarle un plus adicional a las visitas de mis clientas, este a\u00f1o hice un curso de manicuria Rusa y esmaltado semipermanente con Lorena Cantone. Se me ocurri\u00f3 ocupar el tiempo de exposici\u00f3n de una tintura por ejemplo para que mis clientas no solo se vayan con el pelo divino sino que con sus u\u00f1as tambi\u00e9n. De inmediato comenc\u00e9 a trabajar en una famosa peluquer\u00eda llamada G\u00e9nesis, ubicada a treinta minutos de mi casa en la localidad de San Fernando, el volumen de gente era much\u00edsimo por lo que adquir\u00ed mucha experiencia y rapidez. Mi jefe Martin Leiva es un genio en colorimetr\u00eda, por lo que me empap\u00e9 todo lo que pude durante mis dos a\u00f1os trabajando con \u00e9l. A mis 25 a\u00f1os comenc\u00e9 a trabajar por mi cuenta, atendiendo a domicilio usando como medio de difusi\u00f3n Facebook y el boca en boca. Al cabo de un a\u00f1o ya no ten\u00eda lugar en la agenda y mis clientas deb\u00edan sacar turno con much\u00edsimo tiempo de anticipaci\u00f3n. A los 28 fui madre de mi hermoso Thiago, por lo que mis clientas se vieron obligadas a suplantarme por lo menos durante un a\u00f1o. A los 29 decid\u00ed ponerme en marcha para volver a trabajar pero ten\u00eda muchas ganas de perfeccionarme en el mundo del peinado por lo que tome un curso con la talentos\u00edsima Romina Romero. Y por si fuera poco, a todo este mundo de la peluquer\u00eda quer\u00eda sumarle un plus adicional a las visitas de mis clientas, este a\u00f1o hice un curso de manicuria Rusa y esmaltado semipermanente con Lorena Cantone. Se me ocurri\u00f3 ocupar el tiempo de exposici\u00f3n de una tintura por ejemplo para que mis clientas no solo se vayan con el pelo divino sino que con sus u\u00f1as tambi\u00e9n. Soy una persona totalmente proactiva, todo el tiempo en movimiento y con sed de conocimiento, amo este mundo que pr\u00e1cticamente cambia todos los d\u00edas y que me permite no aburrirme nunca.
