So, I invited her to tell me about her mishaps.<\/p>\n<p>Her first words were: <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong><em>&#8220;Alejandra, I used clarifying shampoo to lighten my bleached hair, and nothing happened. Clarifying shampoo is a scam&#8221;.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I was shocked.<\/p>\n<p>Why did she think that <a href=\"https:\/\/botoxcapilar.org\/en\/clarifying-shampoo-to-lighten-dyed-hair\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">clarifying shampoo works to lighten bleached hair<\/a>?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Not from hairdressing school, that\u2019s for sure. If she was a hairdresser, she would\u2019ve known that <span class=\"su-highlight\" style=\"background:#ffb5e8;color:#000000\">&nbsp;clarifying shampoo is used to wash bleached hair thoroughly and remove any residue.&nbsp;<\/span>\n<p>However, it doesn\u2019t lighten bleached hair.<\/p>\n<p>What did my client want to do?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>She wanted to skip a second bleaching session by using a clarifying shampoo.<\/p>\n<p>Why did she want to skip a second bleaching session?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Because she\u2019d taken <a href=\"https:\/\/botoxcapilar.org\/en\/how-long-should-you-wait-to-bleach-your-hair-again\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">her first bleaching less than three days ago<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Out of nowhere, she decided clarifying shampoo would lighten her hair without the damaging effects of a bleaching session.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Of course, the clarifying shampoo didn\u2019t lighten her hair.<\/p>\n<p>By the way, it didn&#8217;t lighten or darken it. Her hair kept the same color after clarifying shampoo.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>What it did was clean her bleached hair thoroughly.<\/p>\n<span class=\"su-highlight\" style=\"background:#ffb5e8;color:#000000\">&nbsp; What clarifying shampoos are designed to do is remove stubborn build-up from your hair. Think slippery silicone, waxes, gels, mousse, hairsprays, moisturizers, conditioner, or styling products including shampoo.&nbsp;<\/span>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>So, clarifying shampoo works on bleached hair in the following two cases.<\/p>\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Clarifying shampoo works on your bleached hair to remove traces of bleach<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-38043\" src=\"https:\/\/botoxcapilar.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/mujer-hechando-shampoo-en-su-mano.jpg\" alt=\"clarifying shampoo to wash hair\" width=\"650\" height=\"520\" srcset=\"https:\/\/botoxcapilar.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/mujer-hechando-shampoo-en-su-mano.jpg 650w, https:\/\/botoxcapilar.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/mujer-hechando-shampoo-en-su-mano-300x240.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The clarifying shampoo doesn\u2019t contain chemicals such as developer or ammonia, but it still cleans and removes residue deposits.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s why it <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>deeply cleanses your hair by removing residues<\/strong><\/span> from hair care products that build up in your hair and turn it dull and stiff.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, it also removes bleach residue.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, if you need to make sure you remove products such as bleach, <span class=\"su-highlight\" style=\"background:#ffb5e8;color:#000000\">&nbsp;I advise you to use clarifying shampoo after a bleaching session.&nbsp;<\/span>\n<p>That way, you\u2019ll prevent any residue from irreversibly damaging your hair.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Clarifying shampoo is ideal for removing residues of certain products that sit in the hair for any reason.<\/p>\n<p>For example:<div class=\"su-list milista\" style=\"margin-left:0px\">\n<ul>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> If you apply conditioner with keratin, your hair will feel soft and strong.<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> If you use a purple shampoo, the pigments will sit onto your hair to neutralize the yellow unwanted tones.<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-square-o\" style=\"color:#800080\"><\/i> If you bleach your hair, the developer will open your cuticles, and the bleach powder will penetrate into the hair core.<\/div><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The clarifying shampoo removes that build-up. Therefore, after applying the bleach, you can wash your hair thoroughly with it.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>You can also use the clarifying shampoo on your bleached hair if you applied a semi-permanent hair dye and you didn\u2019t like the color<\/h2>\n<p>You won&#8217;t be the first or the last woman to go all out after bleaching her hair and choose a striking, vibrant, and very personal semi-permanent hair dye.<\/p>\n<p>Then, when you rinse the dye out, you realize that that color you dreamed of doesn&#8217;t look as good on you as it does on the model you follow on Instagram.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If this is your situation, and although semi-permanent dye fades with washes, I have good news.<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019re not attached to that color for long.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<span class=\"su-highlight\" style=\"background:#ffb5e8;color:#000000\">&nbsp;All you have to do is wash your hair with clarifying shampoo, and say goodbye to that color.&nbsp;<\/span>\n<p>The clarifying shampoo will remove the dye pigments and take your hair back to the color reached after bleaching.<\/p>\n<p>Still, clarifying shampoo has its limits. If you want to lighten your bleached hair, you can&#8217;t use lightening shampoo.<\/p>\n<span class=\"su-highlight\" style=\"background:#ffb5e8;color:#000000\">&nbsp;Instead, you have to bleach again. In that case, I advise you to wait at least three weeks to apply it.&nbsp;<\/span>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Any other cases when you should avoid clarifying shampoo on your bleached hair?<\/p>\n<p>When it feels dull and stiff after the process. This is a definite NO.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If your hair is dull and stiff after bleaching, it means that it\u2019s damaged by chemicals.<\/p>\n<p>In that case, forget about the clarifying shampoo and start a hair repair routine right away. A todas las mujeres nos sucede que cuando estamos alegres festejamos con un cambio de look y cuando estamos en un mal momento renovamos las energ\u00edas en el sal\u00f3n. \u2022 Estudie en IAP (Instituto Argentino de peluquer\u00eda) para recibir mi t\u00edtulo de estilista en el a\u00f1o 2006. \u2022 Luego en el instituto tambi\u00e9n me especialice en colorimetr\u00eda, los colores y tonos del cabello son fundamentales para expresar lo que uno desea. \u2022 En el a\u00f1o 2015 en IAP tom\u00e9 cursos de alisado, b\u00f3tox y cauterizaci\u00f3n capilar. \u2022 Y en el a\u00f1o 2017 t\u00e9cnicas de desgastado (balayage, californianas etc). Mantenerse actualizada en las tendencias es fundamental para cualquier estilista. Cuando veo a mis clientas que ven el cabello exactamente como lo so\u00f1aban para mi es un logro personal. Me dedico especialmente a realizar cambios de look, colores fantas\u00edas, balayage, decoloraciones progresivas etc. Trabaje en varios salones, para adquirir toda la pr\u00e1ctica que necesitaba. La cadena de peluquer\u00edas \u00d3scar Colombo fue mi primer sal\u00f3n donde aprend\u00ed a interpretar a las clientas y a trabajar en equipo. Despu\u00e9s de un tiempo cambie mi enfoque a looks m\u00e1s osados en Monster Style, dedic\u00e1ndome full time a color, este sal\u00f3n en particular se dedicaba a cambios extremos colores fantas\u00edas y no convencionales, me sirvi\u00f3 mucho para aprender a utilizar la gama de tonos. Hasta que finalmente decid\u00ed armar mi sal\u00f3n en la comodidad de mi casa. Mi casa le da a mis clientas la tranquilidad de tener un espacio para ellas \u00fanicamente y totalmente personal, de esta manera cada una de ellas sabe que tienen un d\u00eda para distenderse y tambi\u00e9n, porque no, hablar de sus cosas. Para mi lo m\u00e1s importante es que obtengan el resultado que esperaban, as\u00ed que siempre pido una foto de referencia para saber bien que es lo que buscan y les doy un diagn\u00f3stico realista de cuantas sesiones llevar\u00e1, el da\u00f1o en el cabello, si se puede realizar o no. En resumen, la peluquer\u00eda es mi vocaci\u00f3n y mi arte. No podr\u00eda haber hecho otra cosa en mi vida que ser estilista. A todas las mujeres nos sucede que cuando estamos alegres festejamos con un cambio de look y cuando estamos en un mal momento renovamos las energ\u00edas en el sal\u00f3n. \u2022 Estudie en IAP (Instituto Argentino de peluquer\u00eda) para recibir mi t\u00edtulo de estilista en el a\u00f1o 2006. \u2022 Luego en el instituto tambi\u00e9n me especialice en colorimetr\u00eda, los colores y tonos del cabello son fundamentales para expresar lo que uno desea. \u2022 En el a\u00f1o 2015 en IAP tom\u00e9 cursos de alisado, b\u00f3tox y cauterizaci\u00f3n capilar. \u2022 Y en el a\u00f1o 2017 t\u00e9cnicas de desgastado (balayage, californianas etc). Mantenerse actualizada en las tendencias es fundamental para cualquier estilista. Cuando veo a mis clientas que ven el cabello exactamente como lo so\u00f1aban para mi es un logro personal. Me dedico especialmente a realizar cambios de look, colores fantas\u00edas, balayage, decoloraciones progresivas etc. Trabaje en varios salones, para adquirir toda la pr\u00e1ctica que necesitaba. La cadena de peluquer\u00edas \u00d3scar Colombo fue mi primer sal\u00f3n donde aprend\u00ed a interpretar a las clientas y a trabajar en equipo. Despu\u00e9s de un tiempo cambie mi enfoque a looks m\u00e1s osados en Monster Style, dedic\u00e1ndome full time a color, este sal\u00f3n en particular se dedicaba a cambios extremos colores fantas\u00edas y no convencionales, me sirvi\u00f3 mucho para aprender a utilizar la gama de tonos. Hasta que finalmente decid\u00ed armar mi sal\u00f3n en la comodidad de mi casa. Mi casa le da a mis clientas la tranquilidad de tener un espacio para ellas \u00fanicamente y totalmente personal, de esta manera cada una de ellas sabe que tienen un d\u00eda para distenderse y tambi\u00e9n, porque no, hablar de sus cosas. Para mi lo m\u00e1s importante es que obtengan el resultado que esperaban, as\u00ed que siempre pido una foto de referencia para saber bien que es lo que buscan y les doy un diagn\u00f3stico realista de cuantas sesiones llevar\u00e1, el da\u00f1o en el cabello, si se puede realizar o no. En resumen, la peluquer\u00eda es mi vocaci\u00f3n y mi arte. No podr\u00eda haber hecho otra cosa en mi vida que ser estilista. Por eso el nombre se mi sal\u00f3n es Ponete Linda, ponete linda para vos siempre.
