Small protective shields, namely the cuticles, cover it. The Brazilian Blowout process seals the cuticles to nourish and strengthen the hair core.

A flat iron between 190°C and 230°C is used to seal the cuticles. Once your stylist seals the Brazilian Blowout, she washes your hair to remove any product residue.

Finally, they’ll apply the Brazilian Blowout Ionic Bonding spray to make your hair shiny and silky.

So, when your stylist is done with the Brazilian Blowout, your hair is clean.

Why do you want to wash it after 24 or 48 hours?

There’s an even more important reason why you should wait for 72 hours to wash your hair after a Brazilian Blowout.

Your innermost hair layers need that time for the Brazilian Blowout to settle.

If you wash your hair before 72 hours, the cuticles could open and wash out the treatment.

What are the consequences for your hair?

Frizz

Stiff hair

Dull hair

Brittle ends

Your curs could reappear if you had flat-ironed your hair.

In other words, your hair will look the same as it did before the Brazilian Blowout.

I think I’ve convinced you to wait 72 hours to wash your hair after the Brazilian Blowout.
