I’m sure that you are so excited with how great your hair looks after applying keratin, that you forgot that they recommended you to use dry shampoo.
And that can be serious
What would you say if I said that the keratin treatment isn’t finished when you leave the salon?
I’m sure you would think that I was crazy or that between the hair dyes and hair cuts, I’ve lost a couple screws.
Although its probable that I’m missing one or two screws, everyone is a little crazy and stupid in the world, actually the only person that gives the last word in your keratin treatment is you.
Do you know why?
Because the success of the keratin treatment is what lasts.
And that depends exclusively on you.
It depends on the products you use to wash and condition your keratin treated hair.
That’s why I’m going to tell you the best dry shampoos to use in your hair.
You don’t know what dry shampoo is?
You’ve come to the right place.
Today, I’ll tell you:
- What dry shampoo is
- Which are the best dry shampoos for keratin treated hair
- How to use dry shampoo in the right way
Now, you can also do what one of my clients, Florencia, did who hadn’t even left the salon and she had forgotten all of my recommendations and in a week she called me saying that the keratin treatment hadn’t given her good results.
The things I have to listen to!
How could she have gotten a good result if the same night she applied the keratin to her hair, she had washed her hair and on top of that, she used an ordinary shampoo, one of those that you can find in the supermarket.
If you want the keratin treatment to last for at least four months, the best thing you can do is accept the recommendations that the stylist gives you.
Because after, if you don’t do it, it’s easy to blame them.
Are you ready to follow my advice so that your keratin treatment is successful?

What is the magic of dry shampoo?
I think that at some moment, some magic dust fell out of some witch’s bag of tricks in order to create dry shampoo.
Because ultimately, beyond all the different presentations, dry shampoo is dust.Dust that is used on the hair without needing water.
And don’t worry.
It won’t look like you threw talcum powder on your hair.
Dry shampoo has a few different presentations.
You can find it in dust, mousse or spray.
Basically, women started to use it for those times when they didn’t have a lot of time to shower and wash their hair.
Because for us women, washing your hair means using shampoo, rinsing, using conditioner, rinsing, drying and styling.
Meaning, what takes men barely two minutes, takes us an hour.
But another advantage of dry shampoo is that it is perfect to alternate it with sulfate-free shampoo when your hair is treated with keratin.
Do you want to know why?
When you do a keratin treatment on your hair, you shouldn’t wash your hair so frequently.
That means, you should space out the washes on your hair.
This can generate a feeling of dirtiness.
Your scalp generates sebum, although it gives your hair a sticky look without shine.
Dry shampoo allows you to “wash” your hair without needing to rinse it.
That’s why dry shampoo is the perfect solution for keratin treated hair.
Because you don’t make the keratin that you applied to your hair fade and at the same time you make your hair look clean and shiny.
Do you want to know what dry shampoos I use and that I recommend to all my clients?
I’ll tell you now.
And after, I’ll tell you the best way to use dry shampoo.
The 2 Best Dry Shampoos
This is one of my favorites.
With barely two or three sprays, I distribute the product on my scalp and right away, I feel clean without signs of greasiness.
Also, since it lasts a while, I ended up spending a lot less in hair cleaning products.
The only thing that I’m going to do is warn you.
When you finish distributing the dry shampoo on your scalp, brush your hair a lot to get out the excess product in your hair.
Because, if you don’t do it, you can end up with white dusty residue which is truly unpleasant in your hair.
Also, its container allows it to be transported in any type of purse, so it’s useful to take to the gym when you have somewhere to be afterward.
Everyone likes to leave the gym with clean hair, don’t you think?
IMPORTANT: Batiste Dry Shampoo comes in two presentations.
A 50mL one that’s apt to fit in your bag and the original presentation of 200mL.
Choose the container size that works best for your needs. If you think you need to take your shampoo with you, then you should choose the smaller presentation. On the other hand, if the shampoo always stays at home, choose the larger container.
I have a lot of clients that have used other dry shampoos like this one, and they always tell me the same thing.
They love this dry shampoo because it doesn’t have an unpleasant smell.
You won’t feel any type of residue in your hair and any sign of it can be eliminated with a brush.
Hair with keratin tends to look dirtier after two or there days without washing, but with this dry shampoo, your hair will look clean and shiny like the day you left the salon.
Also, it has oatmeal which is an advantage to improve the look and health of your scalp.
If we compare it to the Batiste dry shampoo, the only difference that I find is that Klorane is a little more expensive.
So, it’s up to your economic situation to decide which one you want.
A last piece of advice.
Dry shampoo doesn’t replace the use of sulfate-free shampoo to wash your keratin treated hair.
You should alternate the use of dry shampoo with washing with water, of course.
How to use dry shampoo to not ruin your treatment
As you well know, you can’t wash you hair for at least the first forty-eight hours.
That’s why dry shampoo is ideal because it is applied to the dry scalp, so it doesn’t interfere with the absorption of the keratin and you don’t have to rinse it out with water, which is the prohibited element in the first few hours.
To clean your hair with dry shampoo, follow the following instructions:
Always use it with completely dry hair.
- Shake the spray and apply it with about twenty centimeters of distance always in the roots.
Please, avoid the ends and above all, the scalp.
Because what can happen is the dry shampoo forms a cap which prevents the scalp from atrophying, which cause the atrophy and hair to not grow.
- Let it sit for a few minutes and then simply brush your hair to get rid of the excess product.
Now you know what dry shampoo to use to keep your hair clean and shiny!
A last minute clarification
Many women go from love to hate in seconds.
And from hate to love also in seconds.
The same happens for many people with dry shampoo.
First, they reject it, since it’s an unknown product.
Now, once they discover its benefits, they start to use it various times a day. They carry it in their bag and use it like an inhaler.
I’m asking you to please not do this.
Dry shampoo is very useful, above all in keratin treated hair, but you have to use it in moderation.
On the other hand, your hair will become accustomed to the product and will reject it. Or, and this is the same thing, it will stop giving you the desired result like it did the first time.
So, don’t forget, use the shampoo only when it is completely necessary.
