Reason 1: Your hair is freshly washed and feels thinner

No one knows your hair better than you do.

That’s why when you notice that your hair is thinner some days, it could be quite frustrating.

It happens to me:   my hair looks thinner some days, especially after washing it and during the following 24 hours.

But what’s the reason for my hair thinning with washing?

After washing and conditioning your hair, its texture changes.

As it’s free of products, it automatically looks finer. This can be more or less annoying according to how you prefer to wear it.

How can I fix it?

Since I don’t like freshly washed hair looking thin, I apply a thickening serum or a moisturizing spray.

Remember that   products give your hair extra weight and eliminate that thinner hair feeling.

Give it a try.

Reason 2: The products you use to wash and condition your hair can thin it

Now that you know that washing your hair may give you that feeling, I want to tell you that   the products you use can also influence your hair. It may feel thinner on certain days.

I’m sure you don’t wash your hair the same way every day, do you?

You probably don’t always spend the same amount of time conditioning your hair either.   As I told you before, I find my hair is more beautiful some days.

So, I wonder why my hair feels different some days.

Of course, after researching my own hair and my hair care routine, I’ve realized   that the products I use   and the way I use them define how my hair feels.

For example: if I wash my hair one day but don’t apply a mask, my hair feels less fine than the day I do. Alternatively, if I shampoo my hair twice and apply a mask, it’ll be even finer.

A slight change in the routine, added to the other reasons, makes your hair look thinner at certain times.

For this reason,   you should write down your washing and care routines,   and check when your hair feels thinner. This way, you’ll be able to know what your best care routine is.

Remember: even the slightest change in products could make your hair feel thinner. Even if it’s slight, choosing the wrong products is among the worst things you can do to your hair.

Reason 3: The weather can influence your hair to look thinner

Temperature and humidity may make your hair look even thinner on certain days.

Hair doesn’t look the same on cooler days as it does on hotter or extremely humid days. Why?

Because hair tends to absorb moisture from the environment.

Not only hormones are to blame for our hair looking different.

Our hair is also affected by smog, smoke, sun exposure, salt, and even chemicals or tools such as hair dryers and flat irons.

Hair is very sensitive to environmental climate changes.   It makes it more difficult to treat and we perceive it differently on certain days.

Luckily for all of us, there are many cosmetic proposals to fight that feeling of having thin hair.

Reason 4: Tying your hair up when it’s still wet may make you feel it’s thin

You may have noticed that when your hair is wet, its texture is different from when it’s dry.

So, if you tie up your hair as soon as you wash it and it’s not quite dry yet,   moisture will mark your hair.

Do you know what?

Tying your hair up while it’s still damp isn’t a great idea. Your hair will be matted and give you the feeling of having thinned out.

Leaving your hair damp for several hours isn’t the best way to care for it. Not only because your hair feels thinner, but   it could foster fungal buildup.

It’s always better to let your hair air dry.

Reason 5: The brush you use to style your hair can make your hair feel thinner

Hair care is such a natural and automatic habit for us women that   you probably haven’t stopped to think about what you do to make your hair look different on certain days.

Would you believe me if I told you that brushing your hair and the way you do it can cause your hair to thin?

That’s right, dear friend. If you brush your hair vigorously one day with a pneumatic brush and the next day with a wide comb, it’ll probably look different on one day and the next.

Conclusion: hair is very sensitive and a slight change in your routine can make it thinner

As we have already seen, hair is very sensitive. In this article, I told you that both   the brush and the way you brush your hair together with the weather and the washing products   could be one or more of the reasons why it could change from one day to the next. It could look thinner or thicker.

For this very reason, it would be useful to keep track of your hair care routine. This way, you can be sure of what you should and shouldn’t do to keep your hair healthy and beautiful.
