However,  pure rosemary oil could irritate the scalp and damage the hair follicles.

You would dilute the rosemary oil with another ingredient that acts as a means of transport.

In other words,  by diluting rosemary oil with another oil to promote hair growth, you ensure that the blend has the proper consistency to be distributed properly on your scalp. 

 

You can use the so-called “light oils”:

  • Coconut oil
  • Olive oil
  • Jojoba oil
  • Argan oil
  • Sweet almond oil
 If you dilute rosemary oil with any of them,   you can apply it to your scalp without running the risk of it clogging the hair follicles or irritating it.

To strengthen your hair, dilute rosemary oil in your usual shampoo

This way, every time you wash your hair,  rosemary oil will nourish, moisturize, and moisturize your hair. 

  • Add 15 to 20 drops of rosemary oil to your shampoo bottle.
  • Wet your hair and  apply the rosemary oil diluted in the shampoo on lengths and ends.  Massage and slowly work the shampoo into your scalp. Leave the shampoo on for three to five minutes.

Add 10 drops of rosemary oil to the leave-in conditioner, apply it only on lengths and ends, and leave it on for 48 hours.

 

Finally, I’ll share with you a natural recipe with rosemary oil that a client gave me. Susana is a naturopath, and she always visits her holistic dermatologist to check her skin and hair.

The dermatologist recommended  diluting rosemary oil with rosemary water to create a moisturizing mist to hydrate and repair her hair. 

 

Dilute 10 drops of rosemary oil in 8 teaspoons of rosemary water in a spray bottle. Shake vigorously for several seconds and spray your hair.

You can apply the mist every two to three hours , to moisturize and repair your hair.
