Intensive repair hair treatments will never be bad for your hair.

However, you may not select the appropriate treatment for your hair type and condition, and that’s when unexpected results arise.

Not all intensive repair treatments are for all hair types.

 

For example,  as a hairdresser, I usually recommend Olaplex to clients who color or bleach their hair every forty days.  Why?

 

Because Olaplex repairs the damage caused by chemicals during coloring and bleaching processes.

So, the hair is repaired while the process is being done.

 

However, some clients have dehydrated or frizzy hair. In that case, I recommend keratin treatments.

While Olaplex and keratin are not opposite products that damage your hair, you should consider why you want to use Olaplex after a keratin treatment.

 

If you got a keratin treatment done yesterday, for example, you probably notice a great improvement in your hair. It should be hydrated, frizz-free, and much shinier.

Of course, I say “should” because the keratin treatment is sealed into the hair with heat tools at very high temperatures.

So, if your hair was seriously damaged before the keratin treatment, the excessive heat will end up damaging it even more.

Can Olaplex repair the damage caused by a keratin treatment?

 

Yes!

 In that case, as your hair was damaged and you got a treatment with high temperatures, my advice is to visit a professional hairdresser. 

 

I know that you can buy Olaplex online and save a few dollars, but think about your hair health and the damage it suffered.

So, again.

 

 If you got a keratin treatment and notice your hair is weak and damaged, ask a hairdresser about it. They’ll assess your hair before applying Olaplex.  

 

This way, you’ll know for sure whether you should apply Olaplex after the keratin treatment without risking your hair.

Olaplex is an excellent hair bond repair and restructuring agent. It can restore your hair after years of damage in a single application.

Apply a moderate amount to each section and comb it through thoroughly.

Leave it on for at least ten minutes. The longer you leave it on the hair, the better results you’ll get. You can even leave Olaplex 3 in your hair for up to two hours.

 

Step 3: Rinse

After the exposure time, rinse your hair with plenty of lukewarm, almost cold water. Shampoo and condition as usual.

 

Step 4: drying and styling

You can comb and air dry your hair. Do you want to use a hairdryer? Set it at a low or cold temperature.
